There are many places in California where I’m sure I’d like to reside, however presently the cost of living is so high that I would need an income that significantly makes up for that difference. Everyone I know who has moved to California has stated that the salary “differential” they were granted based upon traditional COLA calculators was not sufficient. I also don’t like the fact that the Pacific Ocean is so cold – I want to be able to get into the water.
There are also many places in Europe and the Caribbean where I’m sure I would consider living – and other places of the world as well; however they are simply not as of yet on my radar screen. Although I have an adventurous spirit, I’m not certain how well I might adjust to significant cultural differences, such as by moving to one place I might consider, Montevideo, Uruguay.
